Students who challenge an exam answer will get back the Hundreds ruppe fee if their answer is found to be correct. The SSC CPO exam results are likely to be announced within a week. Earlier, a group of people met the DoPT Secretary to talk about the ongoing SSC protest.
On Monday, Union Minister Jitendra Singh met with teachers protesting against problems in the SSC exams and agreed to their main demands. He said that students who faced issues at exam centers will be allowed to take the exam again. Also, if a student challenges a question and their answer is correct, the ₹100 fee will be fully refunded. The SSC CPO exam results are expected within a week. Earlier, some protest leaders had met the DoPT Secretary to talk about the ongoing protest.
A Teacher who trains students for Railway exams told on Media that Jitendra Singh informed him about a planned meeting with the Railway Minister to discuss the delay in holding the Railway exams.
The protest started on Friday when students gathered outside the DoPT to speak out against problems in the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 recruitment exam. The situation got worse, and some teachers were detained after the protest turned violent.
One of the people at the protest was Neetu Singh, a popular teacher also known as "Neetu Ma'am."
She said, "There are many problems with how SSC holds exams. The question papers had mistakes, and when we raised these issues, SSC tried to defend itself in court with false claims."
She also pointed out that Eduquity, a company blacklisted by the Education Department, was still allowed to conduct one of the country’s most important exams.
The protest mainly happened because the exam was cancelled multiple times and students were given exam centres very far from home, even though nearby centres were available.
Students said they faced many technical problems during the exam, like computer mice not working, screen blackouts, and system crashes.
Neetu Singh explained that the teachers didn’t go to protest but went to request a meeting with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) because SSC officials were not responding.
She said, "We didn’t go there to protest. We just wanted to talk to DoPT officials and the minister since SSC is not giving any answers. Students have been facing problems for years, and the exams are not being held properly."
