The Indian Education System : Progress, Pitfalls, and the “Scam” Debate India’s education system—long celebrated for producing global talent in science, technology, and business—faces growing criticism at home. From exam paper leaks and rising commercialization to the limitations of rote learning , many argue that the system functions less as a tool for empowerment and more as a costly “scam.” While the government has implemented major policies such as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 , aiming to modernize learning and ensure inclusivity, persistent challenges continue to undermine public trust. Corruption and Exam Scandals: The New Crisis One of the most significant concerns in Indian education today is corruption in competitive examinations. The film "Saiyaara" has become a hit in theaters without big stars or heavy promotion. Trade analyst Atul Mohan said that connecting with the youth has now become essential.

Mohit Suri's film "Saiyaara" is generating a tremendous buzz among audiences. It's been six days since the film's release, and its box office collections are increasing day by day. More and more people are heading to theaters to watch the movie. Trade analyst Atul Mohan has remarked that, these days, it's extremely important for films to connect with young audiences.

Promotion is very important for films because it helps create awareness and attracts audiences to the theaters. Without proper promotion, even a good movie might not reach enough viewers. However, connecting with the youth and building a strong bond with them has become especially essential today to make a film successful.

These days, a film’s success largely depends on promotion. It’s believed that the more promotion a movie gets, the more people will know about it. Nowadays, making reels of the film’s songs with social media influencers has also become an important part of promotion. But with the film "Saiyaara," none of this happened. There was no big promotion or interviews.

Atul Mohan said that today’s youth are the real audience of cinema. Recently, many films were made that didn’t connect with young people. But with this film, the younger generation feels connected not just to the movie but also to its songs. When it comes to promotion, traveling from one city to another for publicity is now an old trend. Today’s youth are attracted to things they can personally relate to.

Only action films run in theaters

People often think that only action movies do well in theaters. But "Saiyaara" has completely changed this perception. This film has shown that a good story and heartfelt acting can also bring audiences to the cinema.

Trade analyst Atul Mohan said, just think about it — what are we really showing in cinema these days? Most of the content is the same old stuff, with remakes upon remakes. But talking about "Saiyaara," this film might not be something new for us, but for kids who are 10 to 15 years old and haven’t seen "Aashiqui 2," it’s all fresh and new. For them, it will be a fresh love story. Bollywood has always been known for its romantic films, but in recent years, this genre has been largely ignored.

A hit made without any big star power

Chunky Pandey’s nephew and Ananya Panday’s cousin, Ahan Panday, has made his Bollywood debut with the film "Saiyaara." Opposite him, Anit Padda plays the female lead. What’s special is that despite having no big stars, the film has performed exceptionally well at the box office.

The movie’s earnings are increasing every day, proving that audiences appreciate not just big names but also a good story and lovely songs. So far, "Saiyaara" has crossed the 138 crore rupees mark.

Debut films often fail in theaters

Showing a debut film in theaters often proves to be a big challenge for new actors in the film industry. Most audiences come to watch movies starring big stars, which means debut films usually earn less and many good films don’t get enough viewers in theaters.

But this film has broken that myth. Every day, shows of "Saiyaara" are running to full houses. On social media, many videos are going viral—some showing people dancing in front of the screen, while others share emotional moments with tears.

Allegations of plagiarism on Mohit Suri's 'Saiyara'

Mohit Suri's film "Saiyara" has also been surrounded by controversy. Internet users are accusing the filmmaker of plagiarism. They claim that this movie is a copy of the 2004 Korean film "A Moment to Remember." Users on Reddit and X have pointed out many similarities between "Saiyaara" and the Korean film, saying the stories are very much alike. Mohit Suri has faced such accusations before for copying Korean films; his movies "Ek Villain" and "Murder 2" were also said to be copies of Korean films.
